since fluxbox looks pretty slow on the benchmarks raster i grabbed 
the little testapp he provides and benchmarked myself (at least the
wms i which are already on my system)

procedere:
----------

  $> unset LC_CTYPE
  $> unset LANG
  
just to be sure no wm has to deal with reencodings

  $> startx /usr/bin/xterm -- :1

a plain xserver with nothing fancy.

and after that i started a second xterm for running the 
benchmarks:

  $> etest -map-throughput
  $> etest -map-response

several times, to pick something out of the middle.
furthermore i disabled every kind of taskbar i could find in any wm
(blackbox, fluxbox) coz this is for sure the reason why fbox was so
slow in raster's benchmarks (the other reason is he used 0912 which
lacks Rathnor's latest improvements).

overall speed depends a lot on what the wm has to do except mapping
the window (eg: fluxbox's tab support and has to handle this when
applying the decorations). after all it looks like fluxbox isnt that
bad though we need some more optimization, thats for sure.
